During Section 44 Declarations, the group maintain a 24 hour roster, providing continuous, around the clock support to crews in the field.
The group also has a mobile communications van and frequently assist in the training and assessment sessions at Upper Colo for the Advanced Firefighter and Crew Leader courses.
A number of members are qualified Aviation Radio Operators and are often found on air bases during major incidents, often being deployed out of area for up to 5 days at a time.
